Ruggy pointing at the fine print

1. Acceptance of these terms

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your access to and use of Rug.Tools, including the website, token reports, APIs, share cards, Telegram bot, and any related service (together, the "Service"). By accessing or using the Service you agree to these Terms. If you do not agree, do not use the Service.

2. What Rug.Tools is (and is not)

Rug.Tools is an automated, informational analysis tool. It reads publicly available blockchain and market data for Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Monad and Robinhood Chain and presents an algorithmic summary of visible on-chain signals.

  • Nothing on the Service is financial, investment, trading, legal, accounting or tax advice, a recommendation, a solicitation, or an offer to buy or sell any asset.
  • Verdicts, ratings, scores, confidence levels and findings are automated interpretations of incomplete data, not statements of fact about a project or its team.
  • No scanner can guarantee that a token is safe, that a contract is free of undiscovered risk, or that it can detect future developer intent, off-chain arrangements, social-engineering schemes or actions that have not yet occurred on chain.
  • A "healthy", "low risk" or similar result is not an endorsement, certification, audit, or assurance of any kind.

3. Data accuracy and third-party dependencies

The Service depends on third-party data providers and public infrastructure, including but not limited to Helius, Alchemy, DexScreener, GeckoTerminal, GoPlus, CoinMarketCap, Solscan, Etherscan, BscScan, BaseScan, MonadScan and Blockscout, as well as public RPC nodes and block explorers. Data from these sources may be incomplete, delayed, cached, rate-limited, unavailable, mislabelled or simply incorrect, and may change without notice. Rug.Tools does not control these providers, does not verify their output, and makes no representation about it. Where a data module cannot be verified, the Service aims to report it as unavailable or limited rather than infer a result โ€” you should treat any such report as incomplete.

4. You trade entirely at your own risk

Trading digital assets is highly speculative and can result in the total loss of your funds. Any decision you make โ€” to buy, sell, hold, approve, bridge, or interact with any token, contract, wallet or protocol โ€” is your decision alone, made at your sole risk, and is not made in reliance on Rug.Tools. You are responsible for conducting your own research and, where appropriate, obtaining advice from a licensed professional in your jurisdiction.

5. Acceptable use

  • Do not scrape, overload, or attempt to circumvent rate limits or access controls.
  • Do not resell, redistribute or white-label reports without written permission.
  • Do not use the Service to defame, harass, manipulate markets, or mislead others.
  • Do not use the Service unlawfully or in breach of sanctions or local regulation.
  • Do not present Service output as an audit, certification, or professional advice.

We may suspend or restrict access at any time, without notice, for any reason, including suspected abuse.

6. Service availability

The Service is provided on an "as available" basis. We do not guarantee uptime, continuity, response times, refresh frequency, or that any feature, chain, module or cached report will remain available. We may modify, suspend, degrade or discontinue any part of the Service, including individual chains or data modules, at any time and without liability.

7. No warranties

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, THE SERVICE AND ALL CONTENT ARE PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE", WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS, IMPLIED, STATUTORY OR OTHERWISE, INCLUDING ANY IMPLIED WARRANTIES OF MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, TITLE, NON-INFRINGEMENT, ACCURACY, COMPLETENESS, OR UNINTERRUPTED OR ERROR-FREE OPERATION.

8. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, RUG.TOOLS, ITS OPERATORS, OWNERS, CONTRIBUTORS, CONTRACTORS AND AFFILIATES SHALL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY TRADING LOSSES, LOST PROFITS, LOST OPPORTUNITY, LOSS OF DATA, LOSS OF DIGITAL ASSETS, BUSINESS INTERRUPTION, OR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, EXEMPLARY OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES ARISING OUT OF OR RELATING TO THE SERVICE, ITS OUTPUT, ITS UNAVAILABILITY, OR YOUR RELIANCE ON ANY SCAN RESULT โ€” EVEN IF ADVISED OF THE POSSIBILITY OF SUCH DAMAGES AND REGARDLESS OF THE THEORY OF LIABILITY. OUR TOTAL AGGREGATE LIABILITY FOR ALL CLAIMS RELATING TO THE SERVICE SHALL NOT EXCEED THE GREATER OF (A) THE AMOUNT YOU PAID US FOR THE SERVICE IN THE THREE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM AROSE, OR (B) USD $100.

9. Indemnification

You agree to defend, indemnify and hold harmless Rug.Tools and its operators, owners, contributors and affiliates from and against any claims, demands, actions, damages, losses, liabilities, costs and expenses (including reasonable legal fees) arising out of or related to your use of the Service, your trading or investment decisions, your breach of these Terms, or your violation of any law or third-party right.

10. Third-party links and projects

The Service references tokens, contracts, explorers, exchanges and other third-party sites. Rug.Tools is not affiliated with, does not endorse, and is not responsible for any of them. All trademarks and logos belong to their respective owners. Referencing a token does not imply any relationship with its team.

11. Intellectual property

The Service's software, design, mascots, branding and report formats are owned by Rug.Tools. Underlying blockchain data is public. You may share individual reports and links for non-commercial purposes with attribution.

12. Changes to these terms

We may update these Terms at any time. Material changes are reflected by updating the "Last updated" date above. Continued use of the Service after changes constitutes acceptance. See also our Privacy Policy and Disclaimer, which are incorporated into these Terms.

13. Governing law and severability

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario, Canada, without regard to conflict-of-law rules, and you agree to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located there. If any provision is held unenforceable, it will be limited or severed to the minimum extent necessary and the remaining provisions stay in full force. Nothing in these Terms excludes liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
