How to search for a project

Ruggy explaining how to run a token scan

Rug.Tools scans Solana, Ethereum, BNB Chain, Base, Monad, Robinhood Chain, Arc and Cronos tokens using public on-chain data and returns a plain-English report on holder distribution, liquidity, and lifecycle signals. Here's how to run a scan and read the available evidence.

    Find the token you want to check

    You need one of the following:
    • The mint address (Solana base58 mint or supported EVM 0x… contract)
    • A Pump.fun URL, e.g. pump.fun/<mint>
    • A Solscan URL, e.g. solscan.io/token/<mint>
    • A DexScreener URL, e.g. dexscreener.com/solana/<pair>

    Paste it into the search box

    On the homepage, paste the mint address or URL into the input and pressScan token risk. For a Solana mint, you can also use the Solana Rug Checker. Saved reports may open from cache. New analysis time varies with the chain and available evidence.

    Read the Overall Rating first

    Start with the Rug.Tools verdict, then read its confidence and coverage:
    🟢
    Healthy
    No major risks identified in the completed checks. This is not a safety guarantee.
    🟡
    Use Caution
    Mixed signals — read the details before acting.
    🟠
    Elevated Risk
    Material risk signals need closer investigation.
    🔴
    High Risk
    Strong risk evidence is present. Read the supporting findings.
    😈
    Rugged / Dead
    A severe finding is reported. Read the evidence to understand the specific cause.
    ⚪
    Checks Incomplete
    Required evidence remains unresolved. Missing checks do not establish safety.

    Reports can also show a specific label such as Market Collapse or Liquidity Rug Pattern. A market collapse alone does not prove a liquidity rug. The report explains which evidence supports its label.

    Dig into the details

    Below the verdict you'll find:
    • Key findings — the most important facts in plain English.
    • Holder distribution — largest holder, top 10, and total holder count.
    • Creator / Dev wallet — identified creator holdings and available history. This does not establish total team or connected-wallet ownership.
    • Liquidity & market — LP size, 24h volume, and pair age from DexScreener.

    Share or re-scan

    Use Share on X to post the result with a preview card, or copy the direct link. Check the report timestamp; select Analyze Again to request a new scan instead of relying on a saved report.
